After the Bollywood debut with Liger, the south superstar Vijay Deverakonda has two more promising projects as Jana Gana Mana, and Kushi. He will be seen essaying an army officer in the Puri Jagannadh directorial. There were numerous reports of the film being shelved after Liger's fiasco. But it seems like the work on the movie is on.
Recently, The Dear Comerade actor shared pics of him turning a sniper and learning how to shoot with Indian Army officers at the camp base. He even donned the uniform. Dropping the pic on the photo-sharing app, Vijay Deverakonda posted, "With the Baddest Men on the Indian front lines! #URI." In the meantime, the announcement of the movie in March this year also garnered a lot of attention. Vijay Deverakonda was seen getting out of a chopper during the event.
Previously, putting an end to gossip mills on the movie being shelved, producer Charmme Kaur posted, "Rumours rumours rumours! All rumours are fake! Just focusing on the progress of. Meanwhile, RIP rumours." Though she did not mention Jana Gana Mana in her post, it was definitely hinted towards it.
Bankrolled by Charmme Kaur, in association with Vamshi Paidipally, and Puri Jagannadh, Jana Gana Mana will see Pooja Hegde as the leading lady opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The pan-India movie will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on 3rd August 2022.
